1. The experience gained during CHRONA pandemic taught us many lessons. The successful fight against the pandemic is possible due to the coordinated efforts in the field of Preventive Measures , Effective medical treatment , support of the society and a Vaccination drive to cover maximum population. The Government plans were very aptly supplemented by efforts of various NGOs . Special emphasis was laid by NCCHWO to help Government agencies to educate public and organize Vaccination Camps. At many a places ,people were misguided by rumours on ill effects of Vaccination. Volunteers of NCCHWO conducted successful Door to Door campaign to motivate people to get vaccinated.
2. Government organized the Vaccination drive under nominated Immunisation Officers , so that the correct data on Vaccination could be generated. With the help of this Statistics, the demand for vaccine for each Vaccination Centre was generated. In Chandigarh, the duties were carried out by Dr Anju Bhatia, Consultant Immunisation, GMSH16.
She was very ably supported by Dr Poonam Gupta, Medical Officer, GMSH 16 .
